Location scouting is a critical part of pre-production; the scouting team must identify the perfect spot that will provide the best backdrop for the film. The terrain must be navigable for the crew and the equipment, and the area must have enough space to accommodate the filming.

This village is considered as the best tourist center of Kalimpong region. It is located at an altitude of 4300 feet, 16 km from Lava and 20 km from Kalimpong. Santok is a reservoir of immense beauty. Local Sherpa and Lepchara have built several tourist accommodation like cottages. The Himalayas along with the mountains of Tibet can be seen from here. In addition to seeing the infinite beauty of nature, it is a privilege to see the lifestyle of the mountain people very closely. Rows of mountains as soon as the window curtain is removed. Different shapes, different colors. The village is a typical Himalayan village surrounded by hills and rivers. Nature has filled the whole place with beauty.
