Longwa: The Village with Two Countries:
Today I will tell you about a village whose residents have dual citizenship. Let's start with some unknown history of that village.
There is a village called "Longwa" in Nagaland, which is known as the largest village in "Mon" district. Located in the northernmost part of the state, Mon district is one of the 11 districts of Nagaland. The most remarkable thing about this village is that the border of India and Myanmar passes through it. The residents of Longwa Village (Nagaland Longwa Village) enjoy dual citizenship very naturally. What is more surprising is that the border passes through the house of the village chief. . As a result, the village headman's house is divided into two parts. One part of his house is in India and the other part is in Myanmar. Villagers do not need a visa to cross the border. Rather, they can move freely in both countries. Although it may sound surprising, the truth is that some of the houses in this village have bedrooms in India and kitchens in Myanmar. Located in Nagaland, India's last and unique village along the Myanmar border, Longwa Village is nestled in dense forest. The village is inhabited by Konyak tribals, who are considered extremely dangerous. They often fought with neighboring villages for clan control and land possession.
Longwar History:-
There are about 27 Konyak villages on the Myanmar side.
The people of Longwa village belong to the Konyak tribe, also known as "head hunters". Headhunting was a popular practice in villages until the 1960s. Although the story of the Koniak people seems like a fairy tale at this time, until the 1970s the male warriors of the village used to cut off the heads of their enemies and bring them home as a memento of victory. The warriors of that time thought that the skulls of the defeated were symbols of the crop production of their village Later during colonization, the rulers stopped this practice So now the skulls of defeated people will not be found in anyone's house here Because all these skulls are now in the museum Still, if you go to this village, you will see some living warriors, who proudly carry their bravery on their bodies through tattoos. The warriors of those days still have tattoos on their chests But all are not normal hunters anymore Those who are hunters have tattoos on their faces. Many families in the village have brass skull necklaces, which are highly believed by the villagers. Such a totem is considered a symbol of one's own victory by defeating the other side in war.
∆ Sightseeing in Nagaland:-
This village in Nagaland is one of the best places to visit in North East India. Longwar's serene environment and lush greenery easily wins people's hearts. Apart from nature attractions, Longwa has Nagaland Science Centre, Doang River, Shiloi Lake, Hong Kong Market and many other tourist spots. As a result, you will find many things to visit here (Nagaland Places To Visit).
Dzukou valley/Dzüko valley, Nagaland:
Dzukou valley located on the border of Manipur and Nagaland in Nagaland, India, this valley is located in Bishwayama, which is part of Kohima district, the capital of Nagaland. This valley is located at an altitude of about 2450 meters above sea level. You have to trek to visit this valley. There are two trek routes to this valley. One is through Jokama and the other is Bishwayama, the route through Jokama is much tougher than the Bishwayama route as the route is completely flat compared to the route via Bishwayama is much easier with only the first one to one and a half kilometers uphill and the rest through dense bamboo forest. flat road Which will open up the whole valley in front of you and to see the scenic view of this valley, just walk for 7 km to reach Juku trekkers hut and spend the night there and get up next morning to trek another 2 km to a Jesus cross located in Juku valley. Pare from where you can enjoy a 360 degree view of the entire Juku Valley. And if you go in December then you can see Nagaland's famous Hornbill Festival at Kigwama along with Juku Valley.
But finally I would say go to the hills but don't discard plastic everywhere, help keep the hills pollution free.

The surrounding forest and hills are home to the Amur Falcons thus making the place a perfect camping site for bird watchers. With a prior permit from the authorities, camping and fishing can also be done on the banks of the lake)
Khonoma, Nagaland:
Khonoma is located about 20 km from the state capital, Kohima in Nagaland. The village derives its name from Khwüno-ra (the Angami term for a local plant, commonly known as Fragrant Wintergreen). The village comprises 424 households and is more than 700yrs old.
From 1830 to 1880, the British had made multiple attempts to capture Khonoma , but failed against the hard-to-crack defence of Angami Nagas. On 13 October 1879, G. H. Damant, a political officer of the Naga Hills, led a troop of British soldiers to Khonoma but was ambushed by the Angami warriors and in the ensuing battle, 27 British including G. H. Damant was killed.
In 1998, alarmed after 300 endangered Blyth's tragopans (Tragopan blythii) were killed by the villagers in one week as part of a hunting competition. As a preventive measure, the village council demarcated a 20 sqkm area within which hunting was banned and the Khonoma Nature Conservation and Tragopan Sanctuary (KNCTS) was created.
In 2005,the village was named India’s first "green village".
The neat and tidy village can be visited by a hired cab from Kohima City Taxi Stand. There are also cozy homestays here for the ones who may like to spend a day here)

Bihubor Borshil:
The place Bihubor Borshil derives its name from being situated in Bihubor village and Borshil meaning large rocks. Bihubor is a small village on the banks of Dikhow River in Sibsagar District of Assam. It is situated 71km from Jorhat. The gushing waters of Dikhow River flowing since centuries have imprinted unique shapes on the enormous rocks of the river bed. The large rocks of different shapes and variety depict the sculpture of nature which has been created over the ages. The rocky riverbed on this side and the green hills of Longleng District (Nagaland) on the other side of Dikhow River offers a beautiful landscape and the hue of sunset adds to its beauty. The place is also surrounded by beautiful tea gardens viz., MacKeypore Tea Estate, Bihubor Tea Estate, Lakshmijan Tea Estate, etc
